Whoa, wonderful traditional ice cream that's A+ quality. Watch out, serving sizes are industrial. "One scoop" is more than I can fit into a bowl at home.

I came from Riverside, CA to check superior dairy with family. The place was a mess, the employee's that worked between 3pm-6pm,they were rude to customers. They didn't want to serve ice cream. My dad said "Within the three years,I wanted to come here. I'm being punished for purchasing ice cream." These employers didn't want to do their job, they wanted to close 15 minutes early. It a shame that they didn't want to provide service. Never ever coming here again.

HUGE ice cream portions! Delicious!

We took a trip here fromFresno. It was really good. We couldn’t stay and eat Becuse of the covid so we went acrossThe street to courthouse park and ate our ice cream and walked around. It was a very nice treat on a hot summer day

HUGE portions! You really get for what you pay for here and you won’t regret it! I wish that there would be an option to have small sizes. Lactose intolerance is real. The place could have some re-touches but other than that I love the old-school environment!

I've literally driven 100 miles round trip for their ice cream. It is the best! Customer service is great and it has that old fashioned small town feel to it.

Ice cream is amazing. I don’t like vanilla, but man I love theirs! Small joint, may have to wait for a seat but it wouldn’t be crowded if the ice cream wasn’t amazing. You get your money’s worth for sure, you’ll probably never finish a serving size. Haven’t had any other item, only their ice cream. I live a few towns over and I drive here once in a great while.

Cousins took us here for a treat! Wow...super fresh cream in all flavors! Amazing

You've definitely got to try this place at least once. The single scoop sundae can easily feed three or four people!

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and most certainly the quantity! A scoop of ice cream is a pint sized portion of rich creamy goodness. Next time we go we'll definitely share a scoop.

One scoop is actually 13 scoops and can be shared among four people which is a value/ fun experience. The taste of the ice cream is pretty plain however. It’s mostly for the experience

Even with all this nonsense going on, the employees were all patient, kind, and respectful. We got multiple ice creams and they were all above and beyond satisfactory and the serving sizes were well worth the price!

This brings a lot of good memories. If you wanna have a good memory of Hanford, CA always go for Superior Dairy! This stuff is awesome! They have just about everything (not really XD)! For people who are new here, I would go for a sundae or a scoop of ice cream. Either go Chocolate or Vanilla. Ask for 2 or 3 scoops and your gonna be having 1 pound of it. For the people who wanna go all in try the S.O.S. It’s big and has 7 (extra large) scoops of ice cream. Comes with 1 1/2 pound goblet. Comes with toppings of hot fudge, nuts, whip cream, chocolate sauce, caramel (I believe so), and a cherry on top. Also comes with several miniature beach umbrellas. So, if you wanna stop by and have some ice cream fun, come to Superior Dairy! The more dairy there is, the superior it will be!

Best ice cream and milkshakes in the Central Valley! We buy this ice cream on site every year for birthdays and special events! This is the first place I take friends and family from out of town and when they return this becomes the first place they want to go!! Can’t wait for our next trip for wonderful ice cream! Picture is of a regular Sundae!! Imagine the delicious SOS!! Even a single scoop is huge!! But worth the cost!

Hands down best ever ice cream! And I'm not much of a ice cream eater. But I'll eat there's. Just beware new comers 1 scoop is enough for 2 to 3 people lol

It pains me to have to leave such a poor review when i had such high hopes and heard only good things about Superior Dairy. Unfortunately today after paying 60.00 for my family to see what all the "fuss" was about we are incredibly underwhelmed. The service was subpar considering were in a pandemic ill give it a 3/5. Now the sandwiches were lack luster and tasted repulsive, bland and sad. Have you ever had a sad sandwich? Wanna try one go here and order either a turkey or pastrami...ouila! sad sandwich. The milkshakes tasted like the inside of a freezer and at times there were ice crystals that made you wanna gag. Superior Dairy although charming is inferior to baskin robins, coldstone creamery and yes even rite aid. Ill never be back and this experience will stick with me forever. Bon appetite

This was the first time I have ever been there. So I gave two stars not a very clean place. They did give huge portions the ice cream. I had Rockyroad did not taste chocolatey at all hardly no marshmallows or almonds very disappointed. To me that ice cream taste like the cheap brand I should’ve just gone to Baskin Robbins. I expected more especially from all the hype that people gave it.

I was raised in Hanford, but moved to Indiana. Ever time I come in that is my favorite ice cream spot. The only thing is I wished they could ship. I tell my friends back home in Indiana that the Lemon ice cream is the Boom.

Due to the virus looks like this selection has been reduced. I came all the way from Oregon just for this ice cream terrible, there was also no samples available.

Service and ice cream was exceptional as always! It was a very busy day with the Renaissance Fair across the street. Despite this, was able to find seating quickly, had great customer service and loved our banana split order. It came with 3 scoops total of vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream. Toppings were strawberry and pineapple. I added fudge on the side. Bananas were under the ice cream mountain- topped with whipped cream, nuts and a cherry. Nuts are provided in little cups that you can add on yourself. They have other options you can add too. As a FYI, they sell food, milkshakes, sundaes (they have a 7 scoop one) and more.

old fashioned Great tasting ice cream,fantastic for big crowds get your money's worth. it's just amazingly fresh and really flavorful it is cool to watch people's faces and eyes wide open it is quite the experience when they see their scoop of ice cream which is almost a quart of ice cream served anything more than one scoop it requires more than one person to eat it

The greatest ice cream ever!

Today I took my Mother out for a Superior Dairy banana split which she requested the day before, but; she changed her mind and ordered the ham sandwich with a hot chocolate. I ordered the tuna sandwich with a coffee; and I will say my Mom was happy with the ham sandwich and I enjoyed the tuna sandwich. The waitress was very nice and was both server and cashier. I love the location; if I can make one suggestion and not offend anyone; I'm going to say the interior of the restaurant could use a little TLC touch up paint.😋👍

It was okay sucks I had a banana split but it went in a cup! Thought it would of been in a bowl .. Prices where high , but got alot of ice cream one. Scoop was a big cup so that was good .. would like to experience it in doors when covid-19 Over

My favorite ice cream parlor. The best part is the amount of ice cream you get. It is HUGE! You can get toppings like hot fudge, marshmallow, strawberries, caramel added to your sundae. The 1 scoop is $7.00 but it is the size of 4-5 normal scoops. Right now with COVID-19, they are only doing take out. The line moved fast and definitely worth the wait.

Best ice cream in the valley price seem to have gone up since my last visit but none the less great value for your buck. Worth the drive to down town Hanford.

This place is great for kids and families. My friends and I arrived almost 6pm to beat the heat, and sure it took over 20 minutes for our order to arrive, but we were attended to by a busy but nonetheless helpful waitresses and waiters. Would recommend window blinds or curtains to keep the intense sun out, expand staff hiring, and install a new air-conditioning, because even before the ice cream arrives at the table, it's already dripping profusely. No complaints on the gigantic scoop and servings! For the price it's amazing! Definitely bang for your buck and then some. It's nice that they've kept the look of the place since 1929... Shows character and integrity, and respect for state history :)

Middle of the COVID pandemic where small businesses say they’re struggling. Show up 5 minutes before closing and they won’t serve us. Need to hire some employees that care about the customer and business owner. Update your closing time to reflect when you lock the doors.
